MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian flag carrier Belavia presented a refreshed livery of a long-range wide-body aircraft Airbus A330-200 in the Minsk National Airport on the occasion of the air carrier’s 30th anniversary, BelTA has learned.
The anniversary livery adorned the airliner, which the company unveiled in June 2025 as the first out of three long-haul aircraft to join the fleet. This event was a milestone in the history of the airline and allowed it to launch new flights.
The conceptual core of the new livery’s design is the slogan “We connect”. In addition to the anniversary logo on the engines, some of the cities to which the airline flies and cultural sites in Minsk have appeared on the fuselage.
There are a total of eight landmarks on the livery: Palace Bridge (St. Petersburg), Galata Tower (Istanbul), Flame Towers (Baku), stylized images of a traditional Chinese pagoda and dragons symbolizing Chinese culture, a fragment of the Kremlin ensemble (Moscow), Burj Al Arab (Dubai), Trinity Suburb (Minsk), and the architectural ensemble Minsk City Gates.
The composition was created using a decaling method, which is considered reliable and economical. The work was carried out during scheduled maintenance. Every element is on average 2.5-3m long. In total, more than 100m² of material was used to create the livery.
According to the airline’s Director General Igor Cherginets, revamping the design was an important touch. “The slogan ‘We connect’ means more than just flying from point A to point B. These words represent much more than just cities on a map. We connect families, loved ones, goals, and dreams,” he noted.
The anniversary livery is Belavia’s third creative experiment in the last three years. In March 2024 an Embraer-175 tried on a “space livery” in honor of the Belarusian female cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya’s flight into outer space. Marina Vasilevskaya had worked at Belavia for more than seven years. In addition to cornflowers, the fuselage was decorated with stars and images of the cosmonaut. And on 14 November 2024 as a result of collaboration with the Dinamo Minsk ice hockey club an Embraer-195 aircraft received an exclusive livery: a stylized Belarusian ornament and the image of a bison were applied to the fuselage.
When creating the first two designs, Belavia stuck to the brand’s color scheme of cornflower blue, blue, black, and white shades. The anniversary livery also retains the airline’s traditional identity.
