MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Defense Ministry maintains and expands partnerships with a number of countries across the globe. Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Aide for International Military Cooperation to the Belarusian Defense Minister Valery Revenko made the relevant statement on the air of the Belarusian Defense Ministry’s TV channel VoyenTV, BelTA has learned.
The TV channel VoyenTV reminded viewers that the Defense Ministry’s International Military Cooperation Department had turned ten years this year. “We have managed to accomplish a lot. If we talk about accomplishments, then personnel comes to mind, in my opinion. We have substantially more young officers in our department. We employ highly trained professionals, young professionals, who are proficient in several foreign languages. They know their guidelines excellently and promote interests of the Republic of Belarus,” Valery Revenko noted.
“An increase in the number of our friends and partners is another accomplishment. If we look at the last two to three weeks, we will see mutual relations with Myanmar, the establishment of positions. The People’s Republic of China is our strategic partner. We have made great progress in this regard not only in sharing the best practices in combat training. Meanwhile, we step up interaction in military education all the time. We are building our own paradigm of relations in Africa: with countries of South and Northern Africa. We have taken care of matters of interaction with Iran. It is a partner with its own vision of security matters, with its own development of the defense industry. It is very interesting and advantageous to cooperate with it. There is no doubt that the Russian Federation is our strategic ally,” the chief of the International Military Cooperation Department said.
