Belarus, Zimbabwe to sign agreement on mutual recognition of education certificates

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Zimbabwe are gearing up to sign an agreement on mutual recognition of education certificates, Belarus' Education Minister Igor Karpenko told the media on 17 January, BelTA has learned.

According to Igor Karpenko, the developing trade and economic relations between Belarus and Zimbabwe should be supported by the corresponding training of the personnel.

“The level of general secondary education in Zimbabwe is quite high, comparing it to other African countries. We are ready to provide education to students. We have already gained some valuable experience. Today, there are six students from this country that study in Belarus. We are gearing up to sign an agreement on mutual recognition of education certificates,” the minister said.

Igor Karpenko took part in a meeting of Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa with the Belarusian business organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The parties discussed the ways to develop trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
