MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – An agreement to develop cooperation in forensics between Belarus and Vietnam was reached during a working visit of a delegation of the State Forensic Examination Committee of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, BelTA learned from the committee.
The SFEC delegation is headed by Deputy Chairman Sergei Yevmenenko. During the meetings at the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the parties discussed cooperation in forensic examination, prospects and format for further implementation of the agreement on cooperation in forensics signed between the two departments in Minsk on 13 July 2019.
Thus, Vietnam intends to continue to send its experts to the SFEC Institute for training. A preliminary agreement was reached to send Belarusian experts to the Institute of Criminology at the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to give lectures on topics of interest to colleagues.
In furtherance of the agreements, the delegation visited the office of the Institute of Criminology in the city of Da Nang to get familiar with the genetic research and narcotics laboratories. The Belarusian specialists and their Vietnamese colleagues discussed expert research in these areas, exchanged views on the use of modern methods and techniques.
