MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Labor and Social Protection Ministry and the UN Country Team in Belarus have discussed priority areas for cooperation in 2026–2030, the ministry’s press service said.
The key objective of the meeting was to outline priorities and modalities for collaboration under the 2026–2030 UN–Belarus Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and respective country programs. Both sides commended their longstanding partnership and expressed mutual appreciation for successfully implemented projects that have made a tangible contribution to advancing the social sector and improving the quality of life in Belarus.
Commitment was reaffirmed to fill the bilateral cooperation agenda with concrete action, aligned with national priorities in the social and labor sector and the core areas outlined in the signed programs. Arrangements were made to maintain regular contacts, including at the expert level, to jointly implement agreed initiatives.
Key cooperation topics include promoting family values, gender equality, social inclusion of persons with disabilities, active longevity, developing and supporting volunteerism among older adults, teaching cybersecurity and digital literacy to senior citizens, expanding the use of easy-to-read language, and fostering inclusive employment, among others.
