MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov has met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the ministry’s press service told BelTA.
During the talks in Islamabad, the parties discussed cooperation prospects and expressed interest in expanding economic contacts and deepening collaboration in law enforcement. The meeting participants expressed confidence that their cooperation would grow stronger, emphasizing the importance of consolidating efforts in combating terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and illegal migration. The delegation of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs visited the prime minister’s residence, where a tree planted by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in 2015 grows.
On 27 August, Ivan Kubrakov held a working meeting with Pakistan’s Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi. They agreed to continue collaboration in combating crime.
