Belarus, Kyrgyzstan gearing up to launch direct air service

MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Kyrgyzstan are working to launch direct air service between the countries, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry.

On 18 March, Artem Sikorsky, Director of the Aviation Department at the Transport and Communications Ministry of Belarus, held a working meeting with Kyrgyzstan Ambassador to Belarus Ermek Ibraimov. One of the key items on the agenda was the launch of the direct air service between the countries.

Ambassador Ermek Ibraimov noted that Avia Traffic Company has been appointed by the Kyrgyz aviation authorities to carry out regular international air traffic on the Bishkek-Minsk-Bishkek and Osh-Minsk routes.

The participants of the meeting confirmed their mutual interest in launching the air service on these routes.

The parties also discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of air communication and the current state and prospects for further cooperation.
