Belarus highlights interest in healthcare cooperation with DPRK

PYONGYANG, 26 March (BelTA) - Belarusian Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev noted an interest in developing cooperation with the DPRK in the healthcare sector as he spoke to the media following the talks between the leaders of the two countries in Pyongyang on 26 March, BelTA has learned.

According to the healthcare minister, the DPRK leader identified healthcare as one of the areas he is very interested in and is ready for deep cooperation.

“We are considering aspects of interaction in areas such as medical treatment and sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing. We are prepared to offer all forms of cooperation in pharmaceutical supply, which is also relevant given that there have already been points of interaction in the past, but they can be much broader and deeper. Therefore, the healthcare sector is relevant and of interest to both sides,” said Aleksandr Khodzhayev.
