MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) - Belarusian Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Boris Gryzlov on 21 February, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
The parties analyzed the current state of cooperation and discussed promising areas for further cooperation, taking into account national interests and priorities.
The minister stressed that military cooperation between Belarus and Russia is of strategic nature, is an integral part of the entire range of bilateral and multilateral relations, and also plays an important role in the system of military security of Belarus.
The parties reaffirmed commitment to further cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
