MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – People's Artist of Russia Yuri Antonov shared his emotions after receiving a special award from Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko at Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 10 July in a brief interview shown on the project Vremya Pervogo on the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
At the festival’s opening ceremony, the Belarusian leader presented the special award “Through Art to Peace and Understanding” to Yuri Antonov. Additionally, a star with Yuri Antonov’s name has been unveiled in the square near the Summer Amphitheater in Vitebsk.
“Incredible emotions! It is a great honor to receive an award from the president’s hands,” the musician said.
