MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – Affordable flights are being arranged to evacuate Belarusians out of the UAE, BelTA learned from the National Union of Tourism Organizations.
Arab carriers offer Belarusian nationals currently in the UAE flights to Moscow or Kazan. Domestic tour operators are then arranging the transfer of Belarusians from these cities onward.
The union noted that on 5 March, only 10% of the planned number of tourists departed, while on 6 March, the number is expected to be higher. The organization is monitoring the situation and expects that Belarusian citizens will be able to return home in the near future.
