MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) - We need to formulate Belarus’ national idea, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with top officials of the Belarus President Administration on 12 June, BelTA has learned.
"God willing, we will finally be able not only to clearly define for our people what ideology is, but also, as we always say, develop a national idea that will capture the hearts, souls, and minds of our citizens," Aleksandr Lukashenko stated. "Perhaps it already exists. Some call it 'patriotism' or something else. But I do not think that we already have such an idea. If we could formulate it (this must be an important goal for us, and this national idea should resonate with everyone), that would be one of the greatest achievements."
