Lukashenko to inspect mining and processing complex in Lyuban District

LYUBAN DISTRICT, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will visit the mining and processing complex (MPC) located at a potash deposit in Lyuban District, Minsk Oblast, BelTA has learned.

The president will discuss the commissioning of the complex. It is expected that this facility will have an impact on the social and economic situation in the region.

The head of state has kept his tabs on the project to build and commission the mining and processing complex. He repeatedly inspected the construction site from the air, giving instructions on how to speed up the implementation of the project.

When addressing Vitaly Platun, the newly appointed Chairman of the Lyuban District Executive Committee, Aleksandr Lukashenko also mentioned this project: “Don’t forget that we are building a respectable mining enterprise over there. And the investor, who started the construction, was tasked with making the district capital of Lyuban the second capital for our miners.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko expected the new complex to add a lot to Lyuban District just the way it happened, for instance, in Petrikov District when a mining and processing plant was commissioned over there. “No matter how complicated it may be, after all the demand for mineral fertilizers is very strong not only inside our country but also on foreign markets. And they will be able to invest some extra money in Lyuban District,” the president said.
