MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Czechia on their national holiday Independent Czechoslovak State Day on behalf of his compatriots and himself, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

“The relations between our countries have seen both times of rise, revival of political, business and cultural contacts, and periods of regression. Yet, the positive aspects have prevailed and the potential for Belarusian-Czech cooperation is far from being exhausted,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of state hopes that, despite geopolitical challenges and the current political situation, Minsk and Prague will overcome the existing turbulence in the near future. “Belarus has always been open to constructive cooperation with Czechia in all areas of mutual interest based on the principles of partnership, trust and equality.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the Czech people peace, harmony and prosperity.
