Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to people of Poland

MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the people of Poland as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“In these challenging times, there is a heightened appreciation for state sovereignty and the freedom of a nation to shape its own destiny through national identity, historical wisdom, and a commitment to mutual respect,” the message of greetings reads.

The president is convinced that Poles see and fully understand the importance of interpersonal contacts and cooperation with Belarus, of friendliness and trust, and of preserving our shared Christian and cultural heritage.

“Good neighborliness is our priceless gift, which we should not risk under any circumstances by closing borders and jeopardizing national security,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized. “This is precisely why Minsk, demonstrating its commitment to the principles of peaceful coexistence, has introduced a visa waiver for residents of a number of European countries, which has already been used by over 120,000 Polish citizens.”

The head of state wished the people of Poland harmony, peaceful skies, and confidence in the future, and also invited everyone to visit hospitable Belarus.
