MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated the staff of the Central Election Commission on its 35th anniversary, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
Since its establishment, the Central Election Commission has been actively involved in building institutions of people's power of the independent Belarusian state, improving national legislation, and educating citizens on the law, the Belarusian leader noted.
“Largely due to your efforts, the elections in Belarus have become an instrument of genuine democracy, the main form of manifestation of the sovereignty of our people, an expression of their political will,” the head of state emphasized. “Strict observance of the law by the Central Election Commission helps ensure political stability, preserve civil peace and harmony.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the CEC team's strong convictions and devotion to their country, high professionalism and moral compass will help them in their work in the interests of the Fatherland.
The president wished the Central Election Commission team health, peace, prosperity and success in their work.
