MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – The Chinese state has been able to secure a breakthrough in its development recently thanks to China President Xi Jinping. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement in a recent interview with the China Media Group, BelTA has learned.
The reporter asked the president about his opinion of China President Xi Jinping. The Belarusian head of state described the Chinese leader as a strong one that commands the world’s respect. Respectively the world respects the Chinese state. In Aleksandr Lukashenko’s opinion, China is one of the pillars of the planet alongside, for instance, the United States of America.
“Thanks to him [Xi Jinping] China has recently made a great leap forward in its development. I like that he works hard and focuses on major global issues. I like his approach. There is much to learn from him. This is why you have a great leader,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The Belarus president described his relations with the Chinese president as defining because of the role played by the leaders of Belarus and China. “Let’s be frank: presidents are those who hold very significant power under the Constitution. All authority is concentrated in the hands of the leaders, both in your country and in ours,” Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked. “Therefore, the nature of our relations [between the leaders of Belarus and China] and what decisions we make largely determine the development of our countries. It is a pleasure for me to work with a person, who understands our culture. At the same time I understand and our nation understands the culture of the People’s Republic of China better.”
