NIZHNY NOVGOROD, 27 June (BelTA) - The Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia has repeatedly confirmed its economic efficiency, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in a video address to participants of the 12th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, held in Nizhny Novgorod, BelTA has learned.
“Over the years, this interregional summit has proved and repeatedly confirmed its economic efficiency - hundreds of agreements and commercial contracts have been signed, the total amount of which is comparable to the budgets of individual countries,” the Belarusian leader stressed. “Our strategic partnership contributes to strengthening cooperation, helps us effectively resist external pressure, timely respond to global challenges of our time, protect our traditions, spiritual and moral values.”
The head of state emphasized the importance to consistently fulfill the obligations assumed, including expanding regional ties, setting up new joint production facilities and ensuring technological sovereignty.
