MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended greetings to President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the country celebrates Pakistan Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Belarus highly values its relations with Pakistan, which are based on the principles of mutual respect and cooperation,” the message of greetings to Asif Ali Zardari reads. “I am confident that with the support of the leaders of our two countries, interstate ties will be intensified to effectively realize our economic potential.”
In his greetings to Shehbaz Sharif, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that over the past decades, Pakistan has done a great deal to strengthen its independence and gradually improve the living standards of its citizens. “Belarus is ready for further active cooperation with friendly Pakistan,” the head of state emphasized. “I am confident that through joint efforts we will be able to implement the agreements reached during my visit to Islamabad in November 2024 and your visit to Minsk in April 2025.”
