The document has been passed in order to ensure objective presentation of information of public importance in mass media and in Internet resources in addition to detection and prompt resolution of the problems the information contains. The decree is designed to promote the modern channels that offer feedback from the population and more broadly use the potential of state-run mass media during the preparation of critical analytical materials.

The norms the decree stipulates will allow stepping up interaction between government agencies, mass media, and the expert community in raising the awareness of the general public, including awareness about problems and ways of resolving them.
