MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to three-time Olympic champion Alexander Medved, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Throughout your career you have been closely connected with elite sport and have made a great contribution to the development of freestyle wrestling, glorified our Motherland on the international arena as a three-time Olympic champion,” the felicitation message reads.
The head of state noted that the legendary victories of the athlete are known all over the world. “Today you share your knowledge and huge experience with the growing generation of athletes doing your best to promote the development of the Olympic movement in Belarus,” the president remarked.
