Soros foundations and useful idiots: Who stands behind migrant crisis in Europe?

Fabrice Leggeri, the former head of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), three years after his resignation, has decided to shed light on the migrant crisis in Europe. He revealed who actually stands behind it and what goals they pursue. In a conversation with Polish MEP Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik, the former head of Frontex discussed the role of the European Commission, numerous NGOs, the foundations of American billionaire George Soros and smuggling mafias in managing migration flows.

The interview with Fabrice Leggeri was posted on Zajączkowska-Hernik's YouTube channel under the title “Frontex head intimidated by the EC?? Fabrice Leggeri reveals the behind-the-scenes story”. It is worth recalling that Fabrice Leggeri headed Frontex from 2015 to 2022. This means he witnessed Europe's largest migrant crisis in 2015 and also observed how the situation with migrants unfolded at the Belarusian-Polish border during the peak year of 2021. Leggeri currently serves as Member of the European Parliament from France.
It should be noted right away that there are many questions regarding Leggeri's work as head of Frontex and the legality of his actions. Frontex officers have repeatedly faced accusations of pursuing and pushing back migrants. Leggeri was an advocate of tough measures and believed his primary task was to protect European borders. However, he was part of a vast mechanism managing migrant flows and witnessed many things from the inside.

Leggeri witnessed a powerful European lobby (not without American involvement) that deliberately fueled the migrant crisis in the European Union. Sometimes it acted openly. For example, when former German Chancellor Angela Merkel publicly invited refugees from the Middle East to her country. “Germany is ready to admit those who are fleeing their countries for serious reasons,” the chancellor assured.

However, in private conversations, European officials were even more candid. According to Leggeri, they resorted to threats and blackmail against Frontex, demanding that illegal migrants be allowed entry into European countries. For instance, Leggeri accuses former European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson of blackmail. “Europe is an aging continent," the European Commissioner stated in a personal conversation with Leggeri, explaining the interest in attracting migrants.

“It was October 2019. I could feel the political pressure, a political hostility against the concept of border management. Previously, the instruction was to create a sort of border police that would help national border services. But from that moment when we had Johansson they orchestrated different plots against me and against the agency,” Leggeri said.

The former Frontex head observed coordinated actions from Johansson, various NGOs, some left-leaning media, and the network of George Soros' Open Society Foundations. According to Leggeri, people from Johansson's circle and Soros' network acted with the aim of seizing control of Frontex from within and strengthening the positions of left-wing NGO activists, who were meant to facilitate the entry of illegal migrants into European countries.

Leggeri points out that in Germany, even now, there are many NGOs that actively invite migrants to Europe. “There are many illegally staying migrants in Germany. There are also many German HGOs very active in inviting migrants to Europe,” he said.

Furthermore, Leggeri shared his observations from four years ago, when the flow of refugees and migrants across the Belarusian-Polish border increased. “I visited in 2021 the border area in the eastern part of Poland and near the Kuźnica border crossing point. There, in this region, we noticed that there were many vans with German license plates. It was really surprising that in these small villages 500-600 kilometers from Germany there were so many German license plates,” he said.

The vans were clearly not for tourism. “Let's say that all these vans looked like vans to transport migrants to Germany or I don't know where,” Leggeri stated. According to him, NGOs were undoubtedly a piece of this puzzle.

The former head of Frontex observed something similar in 2017 in the Mediterranean area, which was the largest migration route into Europe at the time. “We could witness cooperation at sea between NGOs and smugglers,” Leggeri said.

The former head of Frontex also shared his opinion regarding the goals of NGOs and the Soros foundations in Europe. “There are NGOs that are funded by the Soros Open Society foundations, but there are also many NGOs funded by governments and the European Commission,” Leggeri explained. He believes that among the NGO activists, there are both useful idiots and people who are aware of the consequences of their actions.

Speaking about the organizers of mass migration, Leggeri pointed to two of their goals: practical and ideological. The first is the desire to obtain cheap labor. In this regard, the former head of Frontex recalled how in 2015, German industry pressured Merkel to admit Syrian refugees. At that time, Germany was short of labor, especially cheap labor. “I think it [the desire to attract cheap labor] is everywhere, not only in Germany, but usually in Europe, and probably it’s the same in Poland,” Leggeri added.

But those who facilitate mass migration into Europe have another goal – to weaken Europe from within, change its appearance, and steer it onto a completely different development path. “The goal is to destroy our civilization,” Leggeri said.

He did not specify which of the aforementioned actors is directly interested in weakening the European continent. But that is not necessary. Whatever the role of Soros and those above him, it must be admitted that Europe’s biggest enemy has become the Europeans themselves. Or more precisely, the European elites who supported (and sometimes directly participated in) numerous U.S. military campaigns, fueled a proxy war in Ukraine, and sowed hunger and poverty with their sanction policy. Having turned the planet upside down and triggered mass displacement from destroyed states, the European elites naively believed they could manage migrant flows and extract benefits. And when they lost control, they appointed a culprit – Belarus. Convenient, isn’t it?
The difference is that Belarus never ignited conflicts in Africa and the Middle East, never drove populations to the edge of existence, and never provided legal cover for the European Union’s smuggling networks. All these years, Belarus has been coping with the migrant crisis alone. And it has been coping well. When our country saw an influx of thousands of refugees in 2021, with women, elderly people, and children among them, the Belarusian people came together to support them. This same spirit of solidarity was shown toward Ukrainian refugees in Belarus, both prior to 2022 and after. Belarus also offered integration opportunities to those who wanted to stay.

As Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, the West must deal itself with the mess it created in the countries of origin. However, Belarus remains ready for compromise to address matters jointly, as Europe is its shared home for which we all bear responsibility.

However, this only makes sense if European leaders also recognize their responsibility. And unfortunately, there are serious doubts about that.
