MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Dmitry Derevinsky presented his credentials to President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
During the meeting, Nicolás Maduro emphasized the friendly nature of Belarus-Venezuela relations and expressed readiness to strengthen them across a broad spectrum of areas. This includes drafting and approving a joint action plan, organizing visits at various levels, and holding joint events.
Nicolás Maduro emphasized the significant role of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in reinforcing bilateral dialogue, and voiced his respect for Belarus’ consistent policy aimed at ensuring national stability and development.
The Venezuelan president thanked Belarus for its support in the current regional situation and confirmed his intention to pay a visit to Belarus.
