MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has been invited to attend various important events in China. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov made the relevant statement on the air of the TV channel Belarus One, BelTA has learned.
Maxim Ryzhenkov stressed that leaders of Belarus and China traditionally maintain good contacts.
“We already have a confirmed invitation for the Belarus president to attend a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the parade that will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Beijing in September,” he said.
He also drew attention to the celebrations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, which are due in Moscow on 9 May. The Belarusian leader has been invited to attend them. “Events will take place in Moscow. A number of heads of many countries from across the world, of this Global Majority will be there. An opportunity to hold negotiations with his colleagues will be available.”
