MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the CIS is balanced and consistent with previously adopted decisions, First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Leonid Anfimov told reporters, BelTA has learned.

In 2022, Kazakhstan took over chairmanship in the CIS from Belarus. At the regular meeting of the CIS Plenipotentiaries Council on 15 February, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Marat Syzdykov presented the concept of Kazakhstan's presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2022 and an action plan for its implementation.

“The concept is balanced and consistent with the decisions taken during the previous presidencies. The concept is of great interest to the entire Commonwealth and its structures,” Leonid Anfimov said.
