MINSK, 17 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have held ministerial consultations on Eurasian security and the development of a Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties took stock of their joint efforts in 2025 to promote the charter and discussed next steps for the coming year. They also addressed countering illegal sanctions imposed by Western countries and agreed on a series of joint measures to implement.
Additionally, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sekreta met with the head of the Russian delegation, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Trofimov.
Igor Sekreta emphasized the importance of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in advancing the Belarusian initiative of the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century since its launch in 2023.
