Belarus-Russia cooperation in international security discussed

MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Yevgeny Lukyanov on 24 June, BelTA has learned.

During the meeting Aleksandr Volfovich and Yevgeny Lukyanov exchanged opinions about the latest events concerning international security and regional security. They discussed preparations for the Belarusian-Russian strategic army exercise Zapad 2021. They also talked about matters relating to the lifting of restrictions on travels across the Belarusian-Russian border and about cooperation within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia as a whole.

Aleksandr Volfovich and Yevgeny Lukyanov reaffirmed dedication to the policy of strategic partnership, the strengthening of contacts, and the development of joint projects in the sphere of defense and law enforcement.
