
MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Brazil with concurrent accreditation to Paraguay Andrei Andreyev presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties exchanged views on current issues of the international agenda, particularly emphasizing the need for joint efforts to ensure global food security.
“Questions of political interaction were discussed, both on the bilateral track and within United Nations system organizations. The mutual interest in developing pragmatic trade and economic cooperation in areas that are a priority for both countries was especially noted, with an emphasis on agriculture, mechanical engineering, and green energy,” the ministry stated.
During a subsequent meeting with Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, General Director of Bilateral Policy Raúl Martínez Villalba, and Head of the Directorate for Europe of the Paraguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ana Mariela Ayala, specific measures along the lines of the foreign policy agencies were discussed in detail. This included the development of a bilateral legal framework.
