Belarus, Kenya explore cooperation in agriculture, education, IT

MOSCOW, 13 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Yuri Seliverstov has held a meeting with Kenyan Ambassador to Russia and concurrently to Belarus Peter Mutuku Mathuki in Moscow, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties discussed political, economic and humanitarian cooperation and trade between Belarus and Kenya. “The heads of the diplomatic missions welcomed the recent intensification of the Belarusian-Kenyan dialogue,” the press service said.
“The Kenyan ambassador expressed his country’s interest in Belarusian expertise in agriculture, which is particularly important in the context of ensuring food security, as well as in agricultural engineering, education and Belarusian experience in the development of information technologies. The Belarusian ambassador, for his part, expressed readiness to cooperate with Kenya in all the mentioned areas,” the Belarusian diplomatic mission emphasized.

Yuri Seliverstov and Peter Mutuku Mathuki also touched upon the development of the bilateral legal framework.
