MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Sekreta held a briefing for the diplomatic corps accredited in Belarus on 20 March. The meeting was dedicated to Ukrainian issues, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Igor Sekreta noted that the purpose of the meeting was to present Minsk’s view of the unfolding situation to the diplomatic corps.
The deputy foreign minister highlighted the contrast between Kiev’s information warfare and Minsk’s tangible contribution to de-escalation.
The diplomat specifically emphasized that it is Belarus that is facilitating humanitarian efforts: prisoner exchanges, the return of fallen soldiers’ bodies, the repatriation of children, and hosting refugees.
At the same time, Belarus refrains from nuclear rhetoric and remains open to dialogue on equal terms. “We do not apologize for what we have not done. We do what we must: we protect our sovereignty and help people,” the Belarusian deputy foreign minister concluded.
