Belarus, Cameroon to expand cooperation in agribusiness, healthcare

MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – While in Cameroon Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to Cameroon Vyacheslav Bril met with top officials of a number of Cameroonian ministries, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

During the meeting with Cameroonian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Gabriel Mbairobe the Belarusian side arranged a presentation of the export potential of Belarus' agribusiness. Matters concerning the expansion of bilateral cooperation in agriculture were discussed.

The Belarusian ambassador conveyed an invitation for the minister to visit the international agricultural expo Belagro, which will take place in Minsk in June 2022.

Apart from that, the Belarusian ambassador met with Cameroonian Public Health Minister Malachie Manaouda. The sides exchanged opinions about prospects of expanding Belarus-Cameroon cooperation in healthcare.

Belarus-Cameroon cooperation in the area of animal husbandry was discussed during the ambassador's meeting with Cameroonian Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries Dr. Taiga. The ambassador also invited the minister to visit Belagro 2022.
