Andreichenko: Belarus and Laos stand for peaceful, unifying, constructive agenda

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) - Belarus and Laos stand for a peaceful, unifying and constructive agenda, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko told the media before a meeting with President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Saysomphone Phomvihane. The event is set to take place online, BelTA has learned.

“In general, we have many friends in many corners of the globe. Today's video-conference with the Laotian MPs confirms this. It is important to note that Belarus and Laos generally have similar positions on key issues on the international agenda. We are talking about a peaceful, unifying and constructive agenda. This is what our cooperation is aimed at, and, of course, the main areas here is that we, MPs, are trying to support the efforts of the president and government of our country to increase exports to the faraway countries,” said Vladimir Andreichenko.

According to Vladimir Andreichenko, Belarusian products are in demand in Laos. “This pertains especially to such flagships as MAZ and Minsk Tractor Plant, food products and other goods. Personnel training services are also in demand. Therefore, we are developing these areas and are doing our best in general to expand cooperation with the ASEAN countries,” he added.
