He highlighted that China recently successfully hosted the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin, establishing important plans to promote the Shanghai Spirit and further develop the organization.
“At the summit, President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Governance Initiative, outlining its five key principles: ensuring sovereign equality, upholding international rule of law, implementing multilateralism, adopting a people-centered approach, and being action-oriented,” the ambassador said.

“This initiative is another important public good that China offers to the world, following the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative,” Zhang Wenchuan continued. “Immediately after its proposal, it was warmly received and supported by leaders of participating countries and international organizations, with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko being the first to clearly express his support in his speech.”
The ambassador assured that China would adhere to the concept of global governance based on joint discussion, collaborative building, and shared benefits. He emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and interaction with all parties, including Belarus, to jointly implement the Global Governance Initiative and promote the establishment of a more just and rational system of global governance.
“This year also marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. China will firmly protect the UN-centered international system and the world order based on international law, uphold genuine multilateralism, and work with countries around the world to build a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind,” the Chinese ambassador to Belarus concluded.
