MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – The share of long-term deposits in new fixed-term ruble deposits in Belarus is growing, the National Bank’s press service told BelTA.
Thus, 65.7% of all the new ruble-denominated term deposits held by individuals in February 2026 were long-term. This figure stood at only 52.4% in February 2025.
Apart from that, 70% of all the term deposits held by individuals as of 1 March 2026 were in rubles. This figure was 58% a year ago.
Term ruble deposits held by individuals reached Br16.2 billion as of 1 March 2026, up by Br0.5 billion in February.
