MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – Russia has lifted the restrictions on the import of Belarusian bone-in beef, Belarus Agriculture and Food Minister Anatoly Khotko told journalists as he took part in the 25th international wholesale exhibition Prodexpo 2019, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about Russia's restrictions on Belarusian bone-in beef supplies, Anatoly Khotko said that the two countries have already resolved this issue.
BelTA reported earlier that in the spring of 2019 Russia's food quality watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor introduced temporary restrictions on the import of bone-in beef and cattle from countries that do not have an official spongiform encephalopathy status of the World Organization for Animal Health, including Belarus.
In 2018, when the restrictions where not yet in place, bone-in beef supplies accounted for around 90% of Belarus' total beef export to Russia.
