MOSCOW, 9 October (BelTA) – Opportunities open up for Belarus-Russia cooperation in aircraft industry, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Moscow on 9 October, BelTA learned.
The Russian leader noted that the countries continue to develop cooperation in agriculture, manufacturing sector, including in microelectronics.
"Now opportunities are opening up (we have talked about this with you repeatedly) in aircraft construction," Vladimir Putin said. “In Soviet times, Belarus was called the assembly shop of the Soviet Union. Thanks to your efforts, Belarus has preserved these advantages in economy and manufacturing sector. Therefore, we have the opportunity to complement each other and move forward in these avenues and some others."
