Presidents of Belarus, Russia to receive draft integration roadmaps by 1 December

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – The governments of Belarus and Russia are set to submit the draft roadmaps on the Union State integration to the presidents by 1 December, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas said on 5 November, BelTA has learned.

“We are working on the draft roadmaps that are to be submitted for scrutiny to the presidents by 1 December. The Union State Council of Ministers will convene on 19 November. Dmitry Medvedev and I agreed that after the session we will stay focused on the roadmaps as long as needed,” Sergei Rumas said.

In his words, the discussion on 19 November will involve all the ministers who are in charge of the matters that are left unresolved.

The Belarusian head of government noted that the roadmaps will be signed by heads of government agencies; the action program to implement the Union State Treaty will be signed at the level of the heads of state.

A reminder, the prime ministers of Belarus and Russia approved the draft action program on the Union State integration and a series of roadmaps in early September. Now the parties need to draft 31 roadmaps to implement the program.
