MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – Pakistan shows interest in purchasing BELARUS tractors of 100hp and above, the press service of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) told BelTA.
A Pakistani delegation headed by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan visited MTZ. The delegation toured the BELARUS machinery exhibition, the assembly line and the MTZ museum.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed plans to set up assembly production of BELARUS tractors in Pakistan and prospects to increase supplies of tractors to the Pakistani market. The Pakistani delegation expressed interest in purchasing BELARUS tractors of 100hp and above.
In December 2024 MTZ announced that it would deliver at least 2,700 BELARUS tractors of 60hp to Pakistan in 2025. Back then the parties also discussed the possibility of organizing the assembly of 60hp tractors in Pakistan.
