
MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – Belarus’ Industry Ministry is keen to contribute to the work of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov said at a meeting of the SCO Industry Ministers on the sidelines of INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry of Belarus.
“We welcome the continuation of the meetings of industry ministers of the SCO member states and are interested in active participation in the sectoral dialogue,” the minister said.
Andrei Kuznetsov lauded the development of the forum, including through the mechanisms of interaction at the expert level, for prompt solution of key tasks in the industrial sector, and expressed confidence that this format will facilitate the interaction for establishing mutually beneficial, long-term and stable industrial cooperation.
The forum seeks to facilitate joint mutually beneficial projects in the industry, including through the possibility of forming industrial clusters in the SCO member states, the exchange of experience in attracting advanced technologies and management methods to the industrial sector, the promotion of technological modernization of industry and not only. It was emphasized that by focusing on these themes, the manufacturing sectors of the SCO member states will achieve the maximum interaction corresponding to current realities and needs.
“Today, such meetings are an important factor contributing to strengthening and intensifying contacts between our countries. For its part, Belarus is eager to promptly discuss all current issues, the solution of which will promote trade and economic cooperation between our states,” the minister concluded.
Belarus is running a national exposition at INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg, held annually since 2010. During this time, the exhibition has consolidated its status as a key event for the Russian and world manufacturing sectors.
