IFC reaffirms interest in close cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) - IFC Regional Manager for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Jason Pellmar reaffirmed the interest of the International Finance Corporation to continue close cooperation with Belarus at a meeting with Belarus' First Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The parties discussed issues related to the implementation of the IFC's current projects in Belarus and promising cooperation areas for the mid-term.

The first vice premier thanked the International Finance Corporation for contribution to the development of business initiative and promotion of business activity in the country and also expressed hope for further expansion of consultative and investment cooperation, the press service said.

Alexander Turchin's meeting with IFC Regional Manager for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Jason Pellmar and head of the IFC Office in Belarus Olga Shcherbina was held on 16 November.
