MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways continues working hard to ship more Belarusian products to China. The fifth container train carrying Belarusian dairy products was sent on its way by Belarusian Railways and ZAO Meat & Dairy Company on 20 April, the Belarusian Railways press service told BelTA.
The train left Kolyadichi and will have to reach Tuanjiecun in Chongqing, China. The train consists of 41 forty-foot containers full of Belarusian exports such as milk powder and whey powder made by OAO Molodechno Dairy Plant, OAO Slutsk Cheese-Making Plant, UP Polotsk Dairy Plant, and OAO Zdravushka Milk.
The travel time is estimated at 12 days.
The state enterprise Belintertrans – Transport-Logistics Center (BTLC) of Belarusian Railways and ZAO Meat & Dairy Company have sent four container trains with milk powder from Belarus to China so far. The BTLC has enabled all the conditions for transporting Belarusian exports to China by rail. The shipments are delivered as dedicated container trains and individual containers attached to transit container trains. The practice allows delivering freight within an optimal timeframe in comparison with transportation by sea.
