Construction of bus factory of Belarusian automaker MAZ inspected

MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) – Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich has evaluated progress of construction of a new bus factory of Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark). The construction project is in the final phase, BelTA has learned.

Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich, Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov, and the head of the administration of Minsk’s Zavodskoi District Vladimir Shibeko went to the construction site. Director General of the civil engineering company Stroytrest No.1 Vladimir Bublik talked about progress of the construction and installation work. MAZ Director General Valery Ivankovich informed those present about efforts to install and tune new process equipment at the new manufacturing site.

MAZ representatives stressed that New Year festivities are ahead but active work to prepare the new bus factory for commissioning is in full swing. The main task is to get the facilities commissioned on time, MAZ’s press service said.
