Belkommunmash electric bus on trial in Russia's Tambov

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – The city administration of Tambov, Russia has put the electric bus E433 Vitovt Max Electro on trial, BelTA learned from the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Belkommunmash.

In 2017, the electric bus was tested for four months on Moscow streets and for three months in St Petersburg. A three-month trial period started in Tambov on 17 March 2018. When the vehicles were put into operation and the personnel of Tambovgortrans public transport enterprise underwent training, the electric bus hit the streets of Tambov.

Riders will be invited to share their experiences during the trial period. Tambovgortrans specialists, in turn, will review the performance features of E433. Following the trial, they are to decide whether this innovative kind of transport is suitable for Tambov.

As many as twenty E433 Vitovt Max Electro electric buses are now serving routes for the general public in Minsk. The eco-friendly vehicles have low noise levels and high passenger capacity. The bus offers space for wheelchair users with a fixation system and a driver notification system. The bus floor gets lowered on approaching a bus stop. There are power sockets and USB sockets for charging gadgets inside the passenger compartment. Е433 Vitovt Max Electro can ride with and without current collectors, which gives more opportunities for the use of vehicles and more options for routes.
