Belarus suggests mechanical engineering, agricultural projects to Angola

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation led by Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk is in Angola on 19-23 November. The possibility of implementing joint projects in the area of mechanical engineering and agriculture are discussed during the visit, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in the Republic of South Africa told BelTA.

The negotiations are focused on invigorating the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, primarily trade and economic ones. Members of the delegation visited the free economic zone Viana, discussed promising avenues of cooperation and concrete initiatives of the Belarusian side aimed at implementing joint projects in the area of mechanical engineering and agriculture.

Members of the Belarusian delegation met with Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs Manuel Domingos Augusto, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tete Antonio, Agriculture Minister Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, Industry Minister Bernarda Goncalves Martins, other officials and representatives of the private sector.

Members of the Belarusian delegation are expected to meet with top officials of the Angolan Finance and Transport Ministry and the Luanda city administration.

Ambassador of Belarus to South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Angola Andrei Molchan, representatives of Belarusian companies, including Amkodor, MAZ, and MTZ, are members of the Belarusian delegation.
