Belarus' per capita production of grain, milk, meat, and vegetables revealed 

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) - Per capita production in Belarus stands at 913 kg of grain, 958 kg of milk, 341 kg of potatoes, and 304 kg of vegetables, reads a review by the National Statistical Committee issued ahead of the Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers Day marked on 19 November, BelTA has learned.

Additionally, per capita figures include 78 kg of fruits and berries, 147 kg of livestock and poultry (in slaughter weight), and 407 eggs. Overall, agriculture contributed over 6% to Belarus' GDP  in 2024. Of the total output, animal husbandry accounts for 53.2% and crop production - 46.8% from. By category of farms, agricultural organizations account for the largest share (78.9%). Household plots account for 18.2%, and private farms for 2.9%.

In January-September 2025 the nominal monthly salary of agricultural workers averaged Br2,165 which was 22% year-on-year.

In 2024, the agricultural sector in Belarus employed 236,700 people, representing 6.7% of the country's total workforce. The average age of an agricultural worker is 44.4 years. Approximately 63.8% of the workers are men, and 36.2% are women.

The food industry constitutes the largest share of the processing sector. In 2024, this sector employed 159,000 people, accounting for 3.8% of Belarus' total workforce. Of these workers, 81.4% were employed in cities and towns, while 18.6% worked in rural communities. In January-September 2025 the nominal monthly wage of food industry workers averaged Br2,722, reflecting a 19.1% increase year-on-year.

In January-September 2025 the food industry accounted for  28.3% of the total industrial output. the regional breakdown of the manufacture of food products, beverages, and tobacco products is the following: Brest Oblast - 26.8%, Minsk Oblast - 24.2%, Grodno Oblast - 17.9%, Gomel Oblast - 9.6%, Vitebsk Oblast - 8.3%, Mogilev Oblast - 8%, Minsk City - 5.2%.
