Belarus-Iran economic cooperation commission to convene in Minsk

MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) – Preparations for the session of the Belarus-Iran economic cooperation commission were discussed at the meetings of outgoing Belarusian Ambassador to Iran Yuri Lazarchik with senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian diplomat met with Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif to discuss cooperation prospects. The ambassador pointed to the importance of more intensive coordination to boost bilateral trade and expand contacts in education, including medical education.

Trade, economic and investment cooperation was top on the agenda at the meeting with Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Co-chairman of the Belarus-Iran economic cooperation commission Alireza Razm Hosseini. “The parties discussed a wide range of issues and welcomed the constructive and mutually respectful nature of bilateral relations,” the press service informed.

A special attention was paid to preparations for the 15th meeting of the Belarus-Iran economic cooperation commission due to take place in Minsk.
