RIO DE JANEIRO, 22 August (BelTA) – Ivan Tikhon of Belarus clinched silver in the Olympic men's hammer throwing competition in Rio with an impressive 77.79 throw, BelTA has learned.
Tajikistan's Dilshod Nazarov won gold with his 78.68m throw. Bronze went to Poland's Wojciech Nowicki (77.73m).
Sergei Kolomoyets of Belarus finished 9th in the final with a 74.22m throw.
