First National Channel of Belarusian Radio launches one-year countdown to European Games

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) - The First National Channel of the Belarusian Radio will launch the countdown to the 2nd European Games with a European Games radio day on 21 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company. During the entire day the country's main radio broadcasting channel will be telling how Belarus is gearing up for the important sporting event.

The 2nd European Games Exactly will begin one year later, on 21 June, at Minsk Dinamo Stadium. The radio day program will focus on the competitions across 15 sports with 200 sets of medals, the surprises that the organizers are preparing for participants and guests, numerous sports facilities.

Special radio correspondents will take their listeners to the opening ceremony of the renovated Stadium Dinamo and the 4/100m relay, the start to which will be given by President of the International Association of Athletics Federations Sebastian Coe and Olympic champion Yuliya Nesterenko.

Sports commentators will talk about the preparations of the national team to the European Games, will talk to the coaching staff and participants of the future competitions and organize live broadcasts from the Dinamo Stadium which will host a football match on 21 June and a parade of participants of the athletics event between Belarus, Ukraine, the Balkans and the Baltic states.
