MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian national football team celebrated a 1-0 win in Wednesday's friendly against Greece in Piraeus, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Politevich produced a spectacular free kick at the 14th minute of the game to help his team to a victory on the night. The guests had more opportunities during the encounter. The score, however, remained unchanged.
Alexander Khatskevich's men will now travel to Sofia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria on 13 November.
The current Group A standings are as follows: France – 7 points, Sweden – 7, Netherlands – 4, Bulgaria -3, Belarus- 2, Luxembourg – 1.
