MOSCOW, 18 January (BelTA) – The Union State of Belarus and Russia is the locomotive of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and sets the tone across many areas, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow on 18 January, BelTA learned.
The Union State is the locomotive of the EAEU. It sets the tone and the course for the further development of the Eurasian Economic Union across many areas, Sergey Lavrov noted.
When asked if the Union State is going to expand, particularly if Kazakhstan is going to join it, the Russian top diplomat said that he had no information about Kazakhstan being interested in that.
